Born in Lithuania, Paul Kant experienced the war and refugee camps first hand. He attended school in Germany as a refugee until 1953, when he immigrated to the United States. Paul attended high school in Albany, and graduated from Niskayuna High School in 1959. His teaching degree was earned at SUNY Buffalo.
Paul has taught in Buffalo, Worchester and eventually ended up at his high school alma mater Niskayuna.
Paul Kant has had more than 20 one man shows including a piece in the World's Fair NYC in 1964. Paul works in his Owl Creek Studio at 3232 West Glenville Road, Glenville, NY.
Retired from teaching, since 1993, Art at Niskayuna HS for 33 years, Paul has focused and refined his specialty of sculpture and cinematography. He is also and avid polo player and coach. His love for animals is ever-present in his work, where images of animals are used to portray the secrets of life.
